The core mission of the WCC Charitable Foundation is to assist children at risk—whether they suffer from life-threatening illnesses or face overwhelming challenges beyond their control. On a limited basis, the WCCCF also grants funds to organizations that assist wounded American military personnel returning from war zones and their families, as well the families of police and firefighters who protect our communities.

The WCCCF, as part of its community outreach, provides temporary housing for families with hospitalized children in neo-natal or pediatric intensive care units at Sonoma County hospitals. WCCCF built a modular two-bedroom home on the campus of Santa Rosa's Sutter Hospital in 2004, and began providing rooms at the Flamingo Hotel near Memorial Hospital in 2007. A permanent home will be built in partnership with the Sonoma County medical community in the next few years. The WCCCF also provides direct grants to various community organizations that serve children at risk and is the administrator of the Hospices of Sonoma Pinot Noir Barrel Auction.
